Thanks to everyone who participated in our “Chip Away at Homelessness” Golf Tournament. We enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, friendly competition, and prizes that raised thousands of dollars for both Third Street Alliance for Women and Children and Safe Harbor Easton. Hosted on the scenic Riverview Country Club Golf Course, our first collaborative annual golf tournament was great fun for all.
The tournament featured a $100 cash prize for any golfer who made a par 3, several chances to win closest-to-the pin competitions, a putting contest, and a Pot-o-Gold contest, all for cash prizes as well. Additionally, anyone who made a hole-in-one could win a 2 year lease from Star Buick. Every golfer received a $100 Travis Martin gift card and a prize bag just for showing up, and our silent auction (featured during lunch) offered everything from gift cards for local eats to great summer getaways. One lucky golfer even walked away with a Golden Ticket to compete in the Landis Cup’s $1,000,000 shootout!
Our staff and resident volunteers enjoyed seeing so many people come out to support the work of our organizations. Special thanks to all of our sponsors, the Landis Cup organization, our tournament organizers, and everyone who came to play.
