Sharing the Caring is a social adult day care program for seniors dealing with problems from the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke recovery or other challenges associated with aging, as well as intellectually disabled adults age 60 and older.
The program uses the Montessori Method in dementia care, giving seniors the opportunity to use all five senses to activate and stimulate their minds. Activities in the adult day care program include arts and crafts, chair exercises, puzzles, memory games, baking and cooking, motor skills games, iPad use, intergenerational activities with our child care center children, therapy dog visits, music therapy and gardening.
Our senior clients are provided with a morning and afternoon snack and a hot lunch.
We have several big activities throughout the year that the seniors look forward to, such as senior prom, summer picnic, holiday party and more!
