When Tiffany was looking for a new place for child care eight years ago, she decided to enroll her oldest son in The Learning Center at Third Street Alliance.
At the time she was grateful that it was close to her job and convenient. Now she is grateful for the education that her children, ages, 9, 8, 5 and 1, are receiving in the center.
“My kids really do like it here. I like how the teachers interact with my children,” Tiffany said. “They come home every day and tell me about their day. It’s always positive.”
Some days Tiffany’s children are at Third Street Alliance for up to 10 hours while she is working, and it was important for her, as a single mother, to know that her children feel comfortable and safe. The program also prepared her children for Kindergarten through the Pre-K Counts program.
These reasons are why Tiffany has spread the message to her friends about The Learning Center, referring several families to the program, often sharing her feelings of stability in the program and the engaging activities for her children.
“The teachers are great; they do fun activities for them,” she said. “The feeling you get when you come in is great. Everyone is welcoming when you walk in.”
The Learning Center is grateful for parents that refer the program to others.
“It’s the best compliment that we can receive. The families are happy with the care and education their child receives within our classrooms, and they entrust us with their most precious asset, their children,” said Nancy Frederick, Director of The Learning Center. “It takes a lot of trust to leave your child with a school that you may be unfamiliar with, so having people refer us to others helps us to build trust from the start.”
