The importance of preschool education has been garnering attention through an abundance of studies and reports. High-quality early childhood education (ECE) has been found to carry a multitude of benefits including improved social-emotional development, a greater ability to adjust to kindergarten, and an increased likelihood of high school graduation.
Unfortunately, there are many barriers for children in accessing early childhood education, including factors such as income, race, disabilities, and location. Over 50% of preschool-aged children in America are not enrolled in school, the majority of which come from low-income families.
The Learning Center at Third Street Alliance
At Third Street Alliance, early childhood education is a top priority. Through The Learning Center at Third Street Alliance, we are able to provide high-quality, affordable ECE to children 6-weeks to 13 years old within our local community. Our preschool programming offers learning options for infants, toddlers, and 3-5 year olds and enriches children with essential skills to help prepare them for success in elementary school and beyond.
PA Pre-K Counts
The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program gives income-eligible families the opportunity to have their children receive high-quality ECE at no cost to them. Through PA Pre-K Counts, we are able to offer free preschool to up to 80 students ages 3-5 years old, providing opportunity for academic, emotional, and social development through structured theming and learning through play in our Pennsylvania Keystone STAR 4 rated facility.
