Bistro 2025: THANK YOU

On Saturday March 29th, 2025 Third Street Alliance held the final Bistro fundraising dinner event after three decades. The night was successful as everyone enjoyed a great meal and supported Third Street through surpassing our Fund-A-Need goal by raising well over $30K that directly funds our housing and early childhood education programs.

Bistro History:

The very first Bistro took place in 1996 after Chef Elizabeth Mulrine visited Third Street Alliance to donate leftover food from a catered event. Witnessing firsthand the agency’s vital role in the Easton community, she was inspired to do more — leading to the start of the Bistro.

As part of Bistro tradition, we had a special guest speaker – Evette Quinones Morales. A former shelter client of Third Street Alliance, Evette shared how domestic violence and homelessness impacted her life and discussed the cyclical nature that violence and homelessness has on many peoples’ lives.

“The journey to recovery is not easy, but it is possible. It starts with providing those who are suffering the resources they need: safe places to stay, access to mental health care, and the support of a caring community. It starts with believing that things can get better and that we can break the cycles of trauma that so many people, especially children, find themselves trapped in.

I stand here today as living proof that there is hope, that the cycle of violence and homelessness can be broken. It stopped with me. I broke that cycle. And if I can do it, so can anyone.”

We are very grateful to Evette for speaking and sharing her story.

At the end of the event, Third Street presented Elizabeth with an award recognizing her incredible efforts, including helping to raise over $1 million with the event. We are eternally grateful for everyone in the community who has supported the Bistro year after year.

While 2025 marked the last iteration of the event, it is not the end of Third Street’s events and fundraising efforts. Please stay tuned for what’s to come!
